About Us
History
The citizens' association „The Chance“ was founded in December 2007 as a non-partisan, non-profit and non-governmental organization dedicated to sustainable socio-economic development, social cohesion and the advancement of democratic governance in Serbia.
„The Chance“ was established through the joint engagement of experts from various fields who have been cooperating for many years to improve the quality of life of marginalized and vulnerable individuals, families and social groups, with a special focus on young people and women.
Mission
Our mission is to contribute to the socio-psychological and economic development of individuals and communities by building a broad network of partnerships with citizens, institutions and other relevant stakeholders.
Drawing on our experience, expertise and contemporary practices, we work to create a society that respects the real needs, interests and potential of individuals and local communities, and to develop transparent public policies based on facts and evidence.
Vision
Our vision is an inclusive, equitable and sustainable society in which public policies are created and implemented in line with the real needs and legitimate interests of citizens and local communities.
„The Chance“ strives to be a recognised and active participant in shaping such a society, in which all citizens have equal opportunities to participate, develop their potential and contribute to their community.
