❔ What does it really mean to be intelligent? For generations, intelligence has been narrowly defined - measured through grades, logic tests, and IQ scores. But intelligence is not one-dimensional. Women have always demonstrated intelligence in far richer, more diverse ways: through empathy and emotional awareness, creativity and intuition, leadership, collaboration, adaptability… 💡 So, over the next 2 years, we’ll be exploring the many forms of intelligence and how recognizing them can empower women to choose paths aligned with who they really are. #WomanityLEAP #ErasmusPlus #Youthwork #Erasmusplus #youth Funded by the European Union. Beyond the clichés about intelligence. Being “smart” is undeniably a value, but our perception of intellect has been strongly shaped by traditional ideas around IQ scales. Unfortunately, although IQ scores are often treated today as almost synonymous with intelligence, they reflect only a very small part of what an alert, engaged mind can do, mainly spatial and mathematical abilities. They don’t measure our capacity to communicate, to create original concepts and apply them, nor our emotional maturity, or our ability to engage teams and lead them toward a shared goal, all qualities of a truly awake, capable mind. That’s why we are launching WomanityLEAP - a project that will help us see intelligence in many more forms. We build on Howard Gardner’s theory of Multiple Intelligences, Robert Sternberg’s Triarchic Theory of Intelligence, and emotional intelligence, to expand our understanding of what it really means to be smart. The project will run for two years and will involve six countries: Bulgaria, Serbia, Spain, Cyprus, Latvia, and Belgium. Our main goal is to propose a new concept of intelligence expressed through 12 domains, and to support young women in discovering their talents, identifying a suitable career pathway, and walking it with confidence. For professionals working with young people, we will offer a range of training opportunities so they can support youth more effectively on their path to fulfilment and success. This week we marked the beginning with our first meeting in Sofia on 8–9 December 2025. We thank our partners for trusting us and for walking this journey together. #ErasmusPlus #youth #youthwork #womanityleap Funded by the European Union.
